Placing an Order

The Chianto by Sheila products pages provide an outline of products currently available as “off-the-rack” purchases. Since each product is individually produced in the Chianto studio, availability at any given time will vary and is dependent on fabric selection, production schedules, product demand and custom work commitments. E-mail your product selection and size (where applicable) to sales@chianto.ca to determine product availability and colours currently in stock. A response to your inquiry will be sent out within 48 hours of your initial information request. Should the product be temporarily out of stock, you will be provided with a restocking date and a time-frame for shipping the product to you. Once product availability has been confirmed, appropriate payment options and a delivery method can be determined.

Payment Options

Chianto by Sheila accepts cash (in studio only), cheques (Canada only), money orders (Canada and U.S. only), Mastercard and Visa as forms of payment.

All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars. Orders paid by cheque will not be processed until the cheque clears the purchaser's account (between 5 and 30 days). A $25.00 service fee will be charged for any cheques requiring reprocessing for any reason.

To ensure prompt order processing, please use cash, credit card or money order. Credit card orders will be processed once card information has been verified and total order amount, including all taxes and shipping charges, has been authorized. Chianto by Sheila will not ship COD.

At this time there is no provision for on-line shopping.

Special Order Policies

Special orders are available for required sizing alterations (i.e. longer/shorter inseam, sleeves, length, and/or girth) or for fabrics and colours other than those currently available as stock Chianto products. As well, additional skirt layers and the addition or deletion of sleeves (when suitable) are available as special orders. Special order fees between $10.00 and $40.00 may apply in addition to the regular cost of the product. Some fabric choices may result in further additional charges.

There are no returns or exchanges on special order items since they are made to your specifications. Payments for special orders must be made in full prior to commencement of the production process. Please allow a minimum of three (3) weeks for the completion of your special order – time-frame is dependent on availability of fabric and workload. A time-frame will be provided at the time the order is placed but is not confirmed until such time as payment in full has been received and confirmed.

Delivery Time Frames

Items found in the product line pages are available as a limited stock product. If the item is in stock when the order is placed, the item will be shipped within three (3) business days of order and payment confirmation. Should the item be temporarily out of stock, you will be advised of a prospective shipping date

For special order items, allow a minimum of three (3) weeks for delivery dependent on workload and fabric availability. When possible RUSH orders will be accommodated but will be assessed an additional fee of 20 to 40% of the product cost before taxes (additional charges are based on length of time frame). Time frame begins once payment is confirmed.

For custom order items, please allow a minimum of four (4) weeks for delivery dependent on workload and fabric availability. When possible RUSH orders will be accommodated but will be assessed an additional fee of 20 to 40% of the custom work order total before taxes (additional charges based on length of time frame). Time frame begins once payment is confirmed.

Chianto by Sheila accepts no responsibility or liability for delays in delivery or damages resulting from weather conditions, transportation and or delivery irregularities, etc. All orders will be insured for their total purchase value with insurance costs included in the shipping fees.
