Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Chianto by Sheila is a custom design & production studio specializing in athletic performance apparel.

Begun in 1998 as Chianto Crafts & Clothing, the Chianto focus switched to skatewear and skating costume design in 2001 following a request to sew for a young male skater. That original design work has moved forward to include a variety of custom design work in other athletic fields (body building, fitness, dance, gymnastics, swimming, etc.)

2004 marked the introduction of a unique skatewear product line under the Chianto by Sheila label. All current Chianto products are designed and produced in-studio. All skating dresses, whether off-the-rack or custom designs, are one-of-a-kind.

Consultation, order pick-up and other services are available by appointment only at the Chianto studio in Winnipeg with evening and weekend appointments available to suit your schedule. The name Chianto is pronounced “Shē an to” and combines the names of Sheila's three grown children: Charlene, Ian and Tony. The creation of this name twenty years ago was the first step in the pursuit of a life-long dream.
